What to Look for in a High-Quality CBD Oil

In this article, we’re going to help you avoid low-quality products and discuss what to look for in a high-quality, pure CBD oil.

If you’re interested in learning more, let’s get started!

High-Quality Ingredients

As with any product, you want to ensure that the CBD product in question contains only the highest quality ingredients.

When it comes to CBD, fewer ingredients is better. If there are a bunch of ingredients with names you can’t pronounce, or worse, the ingredients aren’t listing on the product, at all, that’s a huge red flag.

It’s also a big plus when the product uses all organic ingredients or includes premium ingredients that enhance the benefits of the product (such as MCT oil or melatonin).

Hemp Grown in the United States

This one is pretty easy and doesn’t require much explaining.

High-quality products are produced from hemp grown in the United States. It’s even better if they produced from hemp that is grown organically or grown under a state’s pilot program, but in the very least, the hemp must be grown in the United States.

If the product is not produced from hemp grown in the US, or the company doesn’t disclose where their hemp is grown, I’d strongly suggest passing that product up.

Easily Accessible Lab Reports

One of the most important things to look for when shopping for any CBD product is whether or not the product has been properly lab tested by a certified lab testing facility.

If the product has been tested, the lab reports should be prominently displayed on the company’s website.

When viewing a product’s lab report, it will reveal important insights such as the cannabinoid potency of the product, the purity of the product, and more.

If you are unable to access the product’s lab reports or the company makes no mention of lab testing their products, you may want to pass on that product.

Happy Reviews from Real Customers

Product reviews are a great way to gauge the quality of a product as they provide valuable insights into the experience of previous customers.

If a product has hundreds of 5-star reviews from happy customers, it’s a good indicator that the product is high-quality since so many people were satisfied with their experience.

When a product has multiple low-rated reviews or no reviews at all, you may want to second guess giving that product a try.

Contains Less than 0.3% THC

While CBD is non-intoxicating and won’t get the user high, THC, it’s psychoactive counterpart, is intoxicating and will get you high.

In addition, THC is illegal to use in most of the United States, which presents certain legal issues that you’re better off avoiding.

With that being said, unless you’re looking for a psychoactive product, it’s best to always look for a CBD product that contains less than 0.3% THC by dry weight.

Remember, there are CBD products that are mislabeled so be sure to always check the product’s lab report to confirm that it actually does contain less than 0.3% THC.
